Steel producers are without captive iron making facilities. Steel producers having EAF and/or EIF with/without rolling/processing facilities producing crude/finished steel products as per standard specifications from purchased ferrous scrap and/or its substitutes like sponge iron/DRI. (ii) Steel processors like hot re-rolling mills, cold rolling mills, galvanizing units, etc. producing finished/value-added steel products as per standard specifications from semi-finished/intermediate steel products. Secondary steel producers have a production capability of fewer than 1 million tonnes per annum from a single location
